47TH MEETING

Our forty SEVENTH annual June Meeting came to a close last night with one of the most inspirational meetings ever. After an inspiring song service lead by Kevin Davidson we were treated to an excellent sermon by Wayne Lowry, "How to Deal With Guilt." At the initiation seven responded for a request for prayer for themselves and two requesting prayer for health problems for a loved one. Then there were seven that came requesting to be baptized, this brought to a total of eleven that were baptized during our meeting this year.

    We had 200 registered for the meeting this year, which is about normal for us these days. We did have a good group of middle to late year teenagers in our group this year. Our theme this year was 'Life in the Past, Present and Future." We were given some outstanding lessons by our speakers, and our youth were very attentive to them.

   Our expenses were up a little bit this year due the high price of groceries. We spent a little over thirteen thousand dollars with almost all of it collected. Our silent auction brought in a little over 2000,00 dollars this year and that is the best we have ever collected.

    All that attended were encouraged and uplifted by their attendance and all are eagerly looking forward for next year. Please pray that we give God all the glory for the Meeting and for all services rendered to Him.
